WHO WE ARE
Utopia Village is located on the south shore of Utila, the smallest of the Bay Islands, off the northern coast of Honduras in the western Caribbean. It sits on a white sand and coral beach, surrounded by green jungle, turquoise waters and the beautiful Meso-American reef that comes right up to its shore. It is a very special place for us.

We are Paul and Chrisna Avenant. We have lived on Utila since 2014, owning and operating the #1 rated dive resort in Honduras. In the last 6 years our focus has been on taking great care of our guests, while helping to improve the lives of our team, their families and the communities they live in on Utila.
​
In July 2020, in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic, we decided to pivot and not re-open the resort for guests again. We made a decision to direct all our energy and resources going forward towards trying to make a meaningful difference on the tiny island we love.
